Details and progress on goblins

Evening by evening
Among the brookside rushes,
Laura bowed her head to hear,
Lizzie veiled her blushes:
Crouching close together
In the cooling weather,
With clasping arms and cautioning lips,
With tingling cheeks and finger tips.
'Lie close,' Laura said,
Pricking up her golden head:
'We must not look at goblin men,
We must not buy their fruits:
Who knows upon what soil they fed
Their hungry thirsty roots?'



the characters will probably be all flat, i am going to make the main characters Lizzie and Laura from plywood.a bit like the painted flat wood stuff in this picture.

i will make some of the goblins, if anyone wants to design some more goblin characters we can make them here when people come along? ... then we can have a more epic crowd of goblin men..

Fruit and props will be made of paper mache mostly.
so if anyone wants to start making paper mache balloon shapes and painting them to look like fruit then that would be useful.

This is Lizzie and Lauras cardboard house under construction.

to be roughly in scale with the house the girls will need to be about 30 cm tall,

i would think that the goblins should be a range of sizes , from about 15cm tall ranging upwards so some are the same size as the girls and a few are taller.

I think it would be a good thing if the fruits range in scale too, so that then some can be freakish and disorienting and over-lush.. also we can have some in the background and they will be large enough to see.
